Information for Borrowing Libraries

Our lending fees are as follows:

Rush requests are $10 in addition to the ILL charge.

Lending Rules
Materials Lent:- books, proceedings
- dissertations, if we have a 2nd copy
- journal articles (to keep; we have a color scanner)
- articles from microfilm/fiche (to keep)
- materials already on loan will not be recalled
- Reference and Special Collections materials
- individual paper issues of current newspapers and journals
- bound periodicals
- videos, DVDs and LPs
- music CDs
- microfilm/microfiche
How to Request Materials through ILLiad
Requesting materials- Log in to ILLiad Lending.
- Click on 'New Request' on the left-hand menu, and choose the appropriate material type (Article or Book).
- Fill out the form as completely as possible.
- Any field that has an asterisk (*) beside it is a required field. If you don't have the information just put a '?'.
- After clicking the 'Submit Request' button, you will be returned to the main menu of your account and a transaction number will appear in the 'Outstanding Requests' list.
- Log in to ILLiad Lending.
- Click on 'My Requests' on the left-hand menu.
- 'Requests In Processing' allows you to check on materials that are in process.
- 'Shipped Items' contains a list of material that has been loaned to your library.
- 'Cancelled Requests' allows you to check for requests that have been cancelled. You will NOT be notified by email, fax, or Ariel. Remember, your requests will move into different categories as their status changes with our department.
- 'Past Requests' allows you to check on requests that have been completed. Photocopy requests will appear in this list once our office has shipped them to your library. Loans will appear in this list once the material has been returned to and checked in by our library.
